Use Deep Thinking

Deep Thinking is off until you turn it on. Kaiya can still plan multi-step work and use several sources.

For a task that needs more analysis, select the brain icon. This turns on Deep Thinking. On mobile, the active label appears as Deep.

Deep Thinking applies to the current conversation during this session. Kaiya keeps the setting while you switch between conversations. After you reopen Kaiya, check the brain icon before you send your request.

Leave Deep Thinking off for most work

Kaiya handles candidate searches, company research, summaries and drafting with Deep Thinking off. You do not need to split complex work into small stages.

Tell Kaiya what you need. Add the hard requirements, exclusions and client decisions. Kaiya can work out the method and research missing facts.

Use Deep Thinking when quality matters more than speed

Turn on Deep Thinking when you need to:

  • Compare different interpretations of a brief.
  • Resolve conflicting evidence from several sources.
  • Check company ownership during each candidate's employment.
  • Compare a large candidate list against the same criteria.

Example:

Compare these candidates for the CFO role. Check their experience against the
brief, including whether they worked at each company during PE ownership.
Explain the differences that matter to the client and identify missing evidence.

Give Deep Thinking the right information

Deep Thinking gives Kaiya more time for analysis. The setting does not add data, access or Memories. Attach missing sources or ask Kaiya to research the facts. State any client decision that could change the answer.

Review Kaiya's sources, results, assumptions and open questions whether Deep Thinking is on or off.
